We're back! Did you miss us?
Owliver has had a lot up his sleeve these last few weeks — A Murk, Think with Owliver and stories galore...
Hello everyone!
It’s been busy few weeks at the Owliver headquarters! We’ve been brainstorming, organising, creating and finding new ways to keep all of our lovely readers, such as yourselves, engaged and creatively charged.
Here’s what we have been up to…
Think with Owliver
Our flagship programme — Think with Owliver (TWO) — kicked off a few weeks back. This ‘flipped classroom’ is an online platform for young folk to share, create, think, reflect and just be themselves. The weekly programme takes what is happening in the world around us and allows participants to creatively reassemble the news. It is a safe, fun space for respectful dialogue, critical thought and activity-based learning!
I am so thankful for Owliver’s Post. News no longer means blaring debates or shouting politicians. Giving me a platform to think, wonder, explore, ask questions and wonder, it has awoken a side of me that I didn’t know existed.
— Mannat, TWO member
TWO enables cohort-based learning — a learning technique that is making waves, especially during the global pandemic.

The Murk revisited!
Owliver hosted its second online escape room — the first in India — to talk about a very serious matter, but in the most fun, engaging way possible.
The Murk — Blackout Edition was all about the coal shortage in India that was all over the news. We wrote about the issue here, and organised an event that was not only exciting, but also very educational. Who knew that talking about energy conservation and renewable sources could be THIS fun?
The event was attended by over 45 young folk, with prizes at the end for winners. Henceforth, Owliver will be conducting these events more frequently, thanks to the love and support you have shown us, and we hope to see many new faces become part of our growing family.
Stay tuned for more on this.
Diwali with a bang and a side of compassion
With Diwali approaching, we couldn’t ignore this massive festival in the lives of us Indians living all across the globe. However, Team Owliver celebrates it a little differently — we say no to crackers to avoid adding to sound and air pollution. Read our special here!
All the action in Glasgow!
The COP26 is currently underway in Glasgow, Scotland. This annual, global conference brings together world leaders, climate champions, business leaders and others to discuss and take some important decisions on the future of our planet. Owliver dove into the highlights of the major event.
The best part? One of Owliver’s Trailblazers spoke at the event. Vinisha Umashankar, who invented an ironing cart that runs on solar energy, was invited by Prince Charles as a speaker. Read her interview with us here.
That’s it for this week, folks! Catch our bi-monthly newsletter for all the action.
