Gift compassion
COVID-19 has hit India’s poor population really hard. Let’s celebrate this Diwali with them! A big part of Diwali is about gifting! How about this year you gift something to underprivileged people? Wear a mask, keep a sanitiser handy, go for a drive and distribute sweets or other edibles (or even clothes etc.) to people who need this support.

Did you know that people are making eco-friendly diyas out of cow dung?
Follow Malvika as she finds out more about this emerging trend and the wonderful people behind it in her story “A new way to light up the festival of lights.”
People are doing their best to celebrate this Diwali without adding to the ever-thickening smog that blankets India. The state governments in Delhi and Bangalore have banned firecrackers or patakas. And finally, cow-dung diyas have arrived as a cheap and easy-to-use alternative to plastic diyas. In fact, cow-dung Diya’s are even better for the environment than traditional clay diyas!
Find out more about these diyas and where to find them, here.
Who lights up our lives more than children! And here’s Shriya introducing us to young minds who are spreading their light far and wide in her story, “Heroes come in all shapes, sizes, and ages!”
When we think about heroes, it’s usually people who have accomplished great things as adults. But what about those inspiring ones who took massive strides at a young age? As part of Children’s Day, which falls every year on November 14, Owliver’s going to introduce all you to some cool kids who achieved a lot at a tender age!
Get to meet these wonders, here.
The week was special for more reasons than one (two, to be precise) and we are thrilled to share this experience with you!
Team Owliver wishes you a joyous Diwali and an exciting Children’s Day!
